Detail Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival, Addis Ababa City Tour
Meet at Bole Airport and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon sightseeing at the National Museum (Lucy fossil), Holy Trinity Cathedral, panoramic view from Mount Entoto, and stroll through Merkato market.
Overnight: Golden Tulip Hotel or similar, Addis Ababa
Day 2: Drive to Arba Minch via Tiya and Dorze Village
Visit the UNESCO stelae fields of Tiya, then continue through the Gurage and Alaba territories to meet the Dorze tribe, famous for their beehive huts and weaving traditions.
Overnight: Haile Resort or similar, Arba Minch
Day 3: Lake Chamo Boat Trip & Drive to Turmi
Boat trip on Lake Chamo to spot crocodiles, hippos, and waterbirds. Afterwards, visit Konso village with its terraced agriculture and wooden grave markers, then continue on to Turmi.
Overnight: Buska Lodge or similar, Turmi
Day 4: Omorate & Hamer Tribe Excursion
Cross the Omo River to visit the Dassanech tribe in Omorate, then return to Turmi for a sunset visit to a Hamer village to observe their ornate hairstyles, beadwork, and cultural ceremonies.
Overnight: Buska Lodge or similar, Turmi
Day 5: Nyangatom & Mursi Tribes, Drive to Jinka
Meet the Nyangatom tribal community, then continue to Key Afer to visit the Mursi tribe with their lip-plate traditions. Drive on to Jinka for an evening in Ari Village and local market exploration.
Overnight: Eco Omo Lodge or similar, Jinka
Day 6: Drive to Wolayta Sodo
Scenic drive through southern highlands to Wolayta Sodo. Short town walk, visit local markets, and observe daily life among the Wolayta people.
Overnight: Haile Resort or similar, Sodo
Day 7: Hawassa Fish Market & Return to Addis Ababa
Drive via Hawassa, visit the lakeside fish market, then continue back to Addis Ababa for drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
